I vote you as the best speaker at PDC (following RAFAL who is an exception :) ).What does it take to be an awesome speaker other than having a vast knowledge.I mean it's an art to keep someone awake in sessions held after lunch,and you did it in your Asp.NET Caching Session .That was stupendous.

Well What an amazing Presentation . I couldnt believe it i just witnessed such an awesome presentation. Sir Your emotions in your presentation just took the heart of Karachites away. It was once heck of a presentation.I have mentioned most of the things regarding PDC Day 1 and your 2 sessions that i took in my blog but that paris story..:):) not in detail, keepin you safe from the French retaliation :D...:). Presentation regarding DataCaching in VS2005 was superb as well as Manipulating XML Data in SQL Server 2005 using XQuery Language.

Heyy! You were freaking amazing out there! I don't know if you were right about the NJ people but they're kinda nice! I've been to both NJ and NY... NY rocks all the way of course! :) I really think your hair was very funny! So now you know who I am!

By the way, I think you'd want to check out MaxDB for MySQL. Its really powerful and offers almost everything you'd need. Replication, transcations, stored procedures, triggers, incremental backups... you name it! Yahoo uses MySQL extensively for their stuff and they've been doing it so successfully. Plus, some (if not all) of their internal collaboration systems are based on Linux, Apache and mod_perl.

Furthermore, my friend who commented above (Fahad Majeed) asked Clemens about 'Jan'... he replied... I'd rather let my friend do the honour of telling you the answer! :) I hope the French don't get you before that...

One more note... the way you changed the names of nodes in the resulting xml output, that was just horrible! I'm sure we'll have a much cleaner way of doing that in SQL Server 2006... say perhaps with a new XQuery standard or something. That kind of worries me you know, people sit down to understand one piece of technology and microsoft comes up with another within a short span of time and half of their efforts are now simplified. I'm sure there'll be much more powerful xml integration in the future versions of SQL Server and that would change a lot of things! We all like easy and nice way of doing things, but personally I prefer to retain some power... everything being done with MAGIC is not something I'd put my money into!

Bravo Steve for some nice presentations @ PDC Day One. Xqueries are mondo cool ... just wondering if we could store HTML in those xml fields as well given the similarity in tags?

I asked Mr. Clemens today what u told us to . It all happened like that... as the session ended i went and asked my own question regarding the session than as soon as he answered that I asked "How is Jane? ". Mr . Clemens was shocked...he was suprised and then i asked again " Do u know Jane? " ...there was no answer again...and than i asked know " Mr. Stephen?"..and then he suddenly smiled...ohhh he told you to ask me...Stephen is such a __________ i cant mention that here :D :D and then he said Yeah Jane is fine.... and then he went to talk to Audio Visual guyz. He was disappointed that mic dint work momentarily in b/w the session which broke the momentum so he went quickly to talk to them after sayin that.

I do agree with the other posters that Mr. Forte is one of the best speakers in this conference. He has got a [ twisted ;) ] sense of humour too.
